Approvals and edit locking

How something is sent for review, how it is decided, and what happens if you change something approved.

Approvals are decided per piece (one size in one language). That way you can approve 300x250 and request changes only on 728x90.

Sending for review

  1. Go to Approvals and click Send for review.
  2. Under Campaign, choose which one to send. Under Send to, choose Internal reviewer (notifies Reviewers and Admins) or Client (via a link, which you create afterwards).
  3. If you want, turn on Lock editing while under review.
  4. Click Send.

Each decision can be Approve or Request changes, with a note.

Edit locking

With locking on, no one can edit the banner or add sizes to it until the review ends. That way what is reviewed is what gets delivered.

If you change something already approved

Approved or in-review pieces go to To review again when the banner changes. They need to be approved again.

Approval and export

By default, a workspace requires approval before export. If you export pieces that are not approved, they carry a “NOT APPROVED” watermark. Only the Owner and Admin people can do this: under Export, they check “I understand and want to export without approval”.
