Credits

Credits pay for what the AI does. How much each action costs and where they come from.

Credits are the unit used to pay for what the AI does: generating, refining, adding sizes and languages.

Generating is charged per concept, one banner idea already made in the sizes and languages you choose, and the cost depends on how many you ask for. Here you can see the formula, how much each action costs and where credits come from.

The formula

The base cost is the Sonnet 5.5 one. With another model it is multiplied by Haiku 5.5 ×0.5, Opus 5.5 ×2 or Fable 5.1 ×5, and the result is rounded up. There is no step by number of sizes.

  • Concept: 8 + 1.5 × sizes + 0.5 × (languages − 1). Each size adds 1.5 and each language after the first, 0.5. If you ask for several different concepts, each one is charged.
  • Refinement: 4 + 1 for every 4 sizes it touches (or fraction).
  • Adding sizes: 3 for each new size, plus 1 for every 4 sizes the banner already has (or fraction).
  • Translating: 1 per language, with any model.
  • Any operation with AI costs at least this many credits: Haiku 5.5: 1 · Sonnet 5.5: 5 · Opus 5.5: 9 · Fable 5.1: 21. Translating has no minimum.

Note. Editing text and timing by hand, approving, commenting, and exporting cost no credits. If a generation fails, the credits are returned.

To get an idea, with Sonnet 5.5 and only generating: Starter (300 credits per month) reaches 30 1-size concepts per month, Team (1,000) reaches 100, and Agency (3,500) reaches 350; with 4 sizes, 21, 71 and 250. With Haiku 5.5 you get more (Starter reaches 42 with 4 sizes), and with Opus 5.5 or Fable 5.1, fewer. There are also fewer if you refine, because each refinement uses credits (from 5 with Sonnet 5.5).

Where credits come from

Each plan includes credits that renew every month. There are also top-ups, which last 12 months and are used after the plan credits. Your balance is always shown in the side menu.

Warning. Unused plan credits expire when the plan renews. Top-up credits do not.

If you run out of credits

You have two options. Top up: 100 credits for $12 or 500 for $50. Upgrade your plan: right now the BannerMotion team handles this by hand. We will notify you by email and in the app when less than 20% of your balance remains.

Warning. Paying for top-ups is not yet available in the app (it shows “Payments available soon”). [PLACEHOLDER: how to get a top-up in the meantime]
