IAB

Interactive Advertising Bureau: the industry association that defines standard ad sizes and formats.

In detail

The IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) is a digital advertising industry organization. Among other things, it publishes standard banner sizes, such as 300×250 or 728×90, and technical recommendations so the same ad works across many sites.

“IAB size” means a standard measurement accepted by nearly every platform, not a legal rule. Each platform can add its own weight and duration limits.

Example

Common IAB sizes: 300×250, 728×90, 160×600, 320×50, and 970×250.
