Export for the ad server

Download the .zip files of your pieces with the clickTag included and the weight validated, ready to upload to the ad server.

[Short video: pending recording]
Before you start, you need
  • Ready pieces (and approved, if your workspace requires it).
  • The weight limit and the rules of your ad server (the platform where you will run the banners).
  • Optional: the destination URL of the click.
How long it takes: A couple of minutes.See this feature in the product
  1. Open "Export"

In the campaign, go to the "Export" tab. If the campaign has more than one variant, choose which ones to export.

  2. Choose sizes and languages

In "1 · Sizes" and "2 · Languages", check what you want to include. On the right, the summary counts how many files will come out (sizes × languages).

  3. Choose how to build the package

In "3 · HTML5 package", choose "One .zip per piece" (each size and language in its own .zip), "One .zip per size" (the languages go in folders), or "Single package with everything".

  4. Review the options

"Click tag included" is always on: the clickTag is the destination link the ad server uses to count the clicks. "Validate weight" checks that each piece does not go over the maximum you set; remember that the real limit is your platform's. If you want, type the "Click tag destination URL": if you leave it empty, your ad server sets its own.

  5. Handle the approval notices

If the workspace requires approval and there are unapproved pieces, you will see a notice with the list. An Admin or the Owner can check "I understand and want to export without approval" (it is recorded in the report as a warning); everyone else must request approval.

  6. Generate and download

Press "Generate package" and download the .zip when it is ready; the download stays available for 7 days. Upload the files to your ad server by hand: direct delivery to Campaign Manager 360, Display & Video 360, and Google Ads is listed as "Coming soon".

Keep handy

Before uploading. Unzip a .zip, open the index.html in the browser, and check the click. The guide How to prepare an HTML5 banner for the ad server has the full review checklist.
