Backup image
A static image shown when the browser or platform cannot run the HTML5 banner.
In detail
Also called a “backup image.” It is a JPG or PNG the same size as the banner, usually showing the last frame of the animation, so the message is understood even if the HTML5 fails to load.
Some platforms require it inside the package or separately. Check whether yours requires it and what maximum weight it allows.
Example
backup.jpg, 300×250, with the headline and button from the last frame.
